Due to the 2020 bush fires Banksia Cottage will reopen in December 2020. It’s places like this that really need out support to get going again.
The cottages are set up in a farm stay setting. 1 dog per cabin is ok by prior arrangement and they are allowed inside. You will need to make sure that is still ok prior to making your booking.

Holiday acreage home – near Wollongong
We found this luxury home on one of the large online boking sites. The home is set on 11 acres, has a great pool, 7-bedrooms sleeping 12 guests and it is dog friendly. This would be magnificent for a large family or to share the cost with family or friends.
Up to 4 dogs may be permitted, subject to prior approval before you book. There will be a surcharge for each dog. Approved dogs are allowed inside but not on furniture. You will need to discuss the full dog policy as there may be additional conditions.

Dog friendly accommodation with pool was what we were looking for here and this place is more mansion than house, and the pool is classically styled with amazing views across the property and beyond.
South Coast
Dybara Park Cottages – Barragga Bay (NSW South Coast area)
This property is a collection of small cottages and it does have a pool. However, you are also close to 2 beaches only 1 block away; Barragga Bay in one direction and Armands Beach which is ‘clothing optional’ in the other direction.
The property is dog friendly but due to native wildlife your dog must be on a lead at all times and you are required to pick up and dispose of your dog’s droppings. Prior approval for your dog needs to be given by the manager before booking as there is a long list of additional conditions.
As holiday cottages South Coast dog friendly and close to the beach then this property is the Southern-most property we have included. It’s a beautiful part of the word for sure.

Summary
Sourcing this unique list of pet friendly accommodation NSW has taken quite some time. However, as our opening dialogue said we wanted to produce a resource for our readers that may help them to holiday at home after all the events of the first half of 2020.
When talking about or searching for dog-friendly accommodation NSW has a lot to offer.
We wanted our list of accommodation to reflect that dog-friendly holiday ideas mean so many different things. Those differences extend to budgets, location, accommodation size and style, things to do, memories, beach, bush or city to name a few.
