What a find; a hotel at a reasonable price right in the heart of Melbourne CBD and everything that city has to offer.
It is even more surprising to find they are dog friendly, subject to availability in the designated Courtyard room.

We struggled to find any dog friendly hotels in this region.
However, we did discover this motel in Warrnambool.
The motel has free parking and WIFI, tennis court, cable or satellite TV, with some rooms also having a kitchenette.

Royal Mail Hotel – Dunkeld (The Grampians)
Dunkeld is a lovely small town in the Grampians with amazing scenery, and some amazing arts and crafts.
The multi-award winning Wickens Restaurant with its 1.2HA kitchen garden is and just happens to be part of the Royal Mail Hotel.
The hotel has several different accommodation options including the Mt Sturgeon Cottages with 1 or 2-bedrooms; featured on their main website.
They are dog friendly, but are around 3KM from the hotel.
These cottages are renovated but without TV or phone reception, which my actually sound like bliss if wanting to get away from it all.
Dogs are subject to prior approval and do attract an additional cost.

Sea Lake is around 74km west from Swan Hill in the Mallee District.
It is the main township for many wheat farms in the area and is also on the Silo Art Trail which has become a popular attraction.

Clunes township is around 36km north of Ballarat and also in close driving time to Daylesford and Hepburn Springs.
