Despite the adjoining Namadgi National Park, Woods Reserve does permit dogs provided they are on a leash.

The campground is on the banks of Gibraltor Creek and is close to Gibraltor Falls and the Corin Forest Recreational Facility.

The campground does have flushing toilets, hot showers, BBQ’s as well as water from the creek for hand washing and washing up facilities.

We struggled unsuccessfully when it came to finding a dog friendly resort in the Snowy Mountains and that relates to it being in a National Park.

However, in nearby towns you can book luxury accommodation such as this stunning cottage built from granite; surrounded by amazing scenery and things to see and do.

This place is natures version of a resort for sure.

They are dog friendly, but they have other farm animals and cats and your animal must fit in with that situation.

Although this property is called Elm Cottage, you actually have the choice of 5 cottages, each one uniquely themed.

Dogs are permitted inside at any of the cottages.

What’s more but there is no surcharge and they even provide dog bowls, treats and bags for you to pick up and dispose of your dog’s droppings. There is a $100 cleaning fee per stay.

Not all of the cottages can access WIFI; if that is important check before you make your booking.
