Woods Reserve – Namadgi National Park
Despite the adjoining Namadgi National Park, Woods Reserve does permit dogs provided they are on a leash.
The campground is on the banks of Gibraltor Creek and is close to Gibraltor Falls and the Corin Forest Recreational Facility.
The campground does have flushing toilets, hot showers, BBQ’s as well as water from the creek for hand washing and washing up facilities.

What a stunning location with so much to do whether it be Winter or Summer activities.
Definitely a place to visit and stay if you are inspired by nature and activities that incorporate it.

Dogs are permitted in this section only; there are seasonality restrictions.
You are so close to all the activities at this park no matter the time of year.

However, here are a couple of properties that are that bit different.
Mercure Canberra – Braddon
Located in Braddon, within a 5-minute walk to Canberra central in one direction and the Australian War Memorial in the other direction.
The Mercure has 2 only dog friendly rooms and these rooms must be booked directly with the hotel on the number provided.
They do have conditions that they will go through with you prior to booking.

We struggled unsuccessfully when it came to finding a dog friendly resort in the Snowy Mountains and that relates to it being in a National Park.
However, in nearby towns you can book luxury accommodation such as this stunning cottage built from granite; surrounded by amazing scenery and things to see and do.
This place is natures version of a resort for sure.
They are dog friendly, but they have other farm animals and cats and your animal must fit in with that situation.

One of the briefs we received from readers was to find them “holiday cottages ACT & Snowy Mountains dog friendly”.
Although this property is called Elm Cottage, you actually have the choice of 5 cottages, each one uniquely themed.
Dogs are permitted inside at any of the cottages.
What’s more but there is no surcharge and they even provide dog bowls, treats and bags for you to pick up and dispose of your dog’s droppings. There is a $100 cleaning fee per stay.
Not all of the cottages can access WIFI; if that is important check before you make your booking.
There are plenty of other natural sights and activities to keep you occupied especially as you are visiting the Kosciuszko National Park, or perhaps gone into town.

Some of our readers are wanting to find dog friendly accommodation with pool.
However, we found that it was almost impossible to find anywhere in the Snowy Mountains region that was both dog friendly and had a pool.
