Being in the Avon Valley you have a wine region close by. If travelling further Northam is a crossroads town with highway links; West to Perth, South to Albany, East to Coolgardie (then to Kalgoorlie or further East to interstate), or North staying inland almost to Port Hedland.

Cambridge is a suburb of Hobart situated on the eastern side of the River Derwent midway between the CBD and Airport. It is a short drive into the CBD and conveniently located for heading in all directions.

Snug is a small seaside town around a 20-minute drive south of Hobart. It is also a town that has seen hard times, with massive bushfires in 1967 that destroyed around two thirds of the homes.

There is so much to see in Hobart and the south east that having a great base is a must. Risdon is a great location without being right in the city. It has easy access to head in many directions and is very close to one of the Derwent River bridges for getting to places such as MONA only a short drive.
