This is a resort style holiday park in Richmond Hill, a suburb of Charters Towers, a town South East of Townsville.
The holiday park is dog friendly but you will need to discuss your dog’s needs prior to booking.
On our dog friendly road trip, we would have altered the order slightly here; travelling from central QLD to Far North QLD first, then back inland to here at Charters Towers in North QLD.
The park has stunning views over a local lake and has 3 unpowered sites, 9 powered grass sites and 33 powered drive through sites. They have free WIFI and are dog friendly, with dogs being permitted to the sites mentioned above. Dogs can swim in the lake and there is a 1.2km walking track around the lake to enjoy.
The Camping park is situated on around 150-acres of semi tropical forest on the Whitsundays Passage. It has direct beach access to what is a great fishing spot. There is a lovely pool and the grounds are very lush.
This area is well off the main highway and is South of Proserpine, close to the access roads through to Airlie Beach and Shute Harbour.
There is a choice of powered and unpowered sites. If you are looking for pet friendly accommodation Whitsundays region offers some great alternatives to the busy tourist areas.
The Palms Caravan Park is situated only 300M from the Esplanade sea front, with its various shops, cafés and restaurants.
The powered caravan sites come complete with free WIFI and are dog friendly as they are allowed in your caravan only.
They have a large swimming pool which is handy to unwind after your drive or day adventuring around the region. If your “tick list” includes pet friendly accommodation Hervey Bay has a great option with this property.
Many tourists like to venture onto the water to go whale watching or even further for a Fraser Island day trip. Neither of these activities allow you to take your dog; bear in mind that Fraser Island is a National Park and all domestic animals are banned.
Situated on the lovely and thriving Redcliffe Peninsula this holiday village even has beach frontage sites for caravans. It is very close to the marina and the famous Morgans Seafood Market and Takeaway.
The area has a family friendly feel, with many attractions along the foreshore to walk along, swim, fish, etc.
Redcliffe Peninsular is a family friendly destination. If you need pet friendly accommodation Brisbane region offers a few great spots that make a holiday at the beach something to remember.
Adjacent to the Pacific Highway in Helensvale; right in the heart of where most of the theme parks are located as well as several major shopping malls, and the gateway to the Tamborine Mountain hinterland region.
There is a wide choice of powered Caravan sites, including ensuite and premier sites. Pets are welcome at all of the Caravan sites; they must stay in your own caravan or motorhome. While visiting you must follow the park pet policies.
Dogs are required to be on a leash in the Holiday park, and another condition is that your dog’s vaccinations are up to date and we would suggest that you discuss your dog’s requirements prior to booking.
A major feature of this Holiday Park is their water park, filled with outdoor fun for all of the family. If you have friends in the area, they can visit and pay fees that vary depending on whether the use the water park or not.
Dog friendly accommodation with pool was the brief? I think this one would be hard to beat.
Palm Cove must rank as one of the prettiest spots in all of coastal Queensland, not just because of the beach and ocean views, but also because of the amazing centuries old Melaleuca trees that line the main Esplanade. To find a dog friendly camp site in such a location is amazing, given the number of expensive full luxury resorts that front the ocean.
When looking for pet friendly accommodation Cairns has a fantastic option at Palm Cove; only a 30-minute drive North of the Cairns CBD. If you are flying here, you can even get the regular local bus to Palm Cove from the city and the airport.
This dog friendly Holiday park includes a choice of powered or unpowered camping sites.
Once in a while a property and location come along that words such as dog friendly accommodation QLD just don’t do them justice. This is a special place.
Don’t be put off by the name containing ‘Van park’ in its name. This is a dog friendly park that also offers powered and unpowered camping sites. When it comes to pet friendly accommodation Townsville caravan parks such as this are a more economical option; leaving more money to spend on your sightseeing.
They do have a swimming pool and that will come in handy as it sure gets hot up here.
There is no specific information on their site regarding a pet policy apart from a logo on their home page. We would still recommend contacting them prior to making any booking.
Townsville can get busy; it is the 4th largest city in QLD after all and over twice the population of Mackay for example. Aside from tourism and hospitality it is a hub for education with a large university as well as a regional hub for government departments and has a large military presence.
Just offshore is Magnetic Island, which is almost a satellite suburb of Townsville. While it is World Heritage listed and does contain many National parks, there are many other beaches where you can walk your dog. It could also be worth a short stay, or take the ferry across for the day but make sure your dog is muzzled for the ferry ride.
Dog friendly camping QLD was our brief and this Park offers a lot for the budget traveler.
This tourist park is only 2km from the marina and Mackay CBD. They are dog friendly, have powered or ensuite camping sites along with an amazing pool complex to keep the younger travelers occupied all day long, or at the end of a long day.
We suggest you contact the park to discuss your dog needs before making your booking.
When looking for pet friendly accommodation Mackay doesn’t have a large number of choices. Dog friendly camping QLD was our brief and this Tourist Park has all the family friendly amenities you would need, as well as being convenient to so many other tourist destinations.
While many travelers enter Queensland using the Pacific Highway as they follow the coast North from their home States, there are also inland alternatives.
In this instance we have chosen Warwick; ideal if you have traveled North from NSW where the New England Highway makes its way North through places such as Tenterfield before continuing on to Warwick.
The park offers powered and unpowered sites.
Pet friendly accommodation SE QLD means finding different ways to enjoy the experience. Warwick is a great place to experience some country charm and proudly promotes itself as the ‘Rose and Rodeo Capital’. You don’t see that back home I’m sure.
