The brief we were given was “holiday cottages South East Queensland dog friendly” and not only does this property meet that brief; it also is a beautiful and luxurious place to stay, relax and unwind.
This dog friendly retreat is a 5th generation commercial beef cattle property. It also adds a new option for pet friendly accommodation North Queensland style.
Being only 10-minutes off the main highway, about 30-minutes North of Rockhampton and the Capricorn Coast it is an ideal location as a base for your day trips. Mind you, the retreat has so much to see as well from farm tours, animal feeding, bush walking, canoeing, fishing and at night sitting around the campfire and gazing at how bright the stars are.
There are cabins where the dog is permitted inside; but must be kept off all furniture. There are also a Lodge and House for accommodation, where the dog must be kept outside, but the retreat can provide a portable kennel to make things easier.

Situated close to the waterfront in Urangan this property is close to the Marina and Boat Ramp.
There are 61 Villas within the retreat and a selected number of villas are dog friendly. At the time of writing the pet friendly villas attract a $50 fee for 1-2 nights and $100 for 3-nights or more.

Adjacent to the Pacific Highway in Helensvale; right in the heart of where most of the theme parks are located as well as several major shopping malls, and the gateway to the Tamborine Mountain hinterland region.
There is a wide choice of powered Caravan sites, including ensuite and premier sites. Pets are welcome at all of the Caravan sites; they must stay in your own caravan or motorhome. While visiting you must follow the park pet policies.
Dogs are required to be on a leash in the Holiday park, and another condition is that your dog’s vaccinations are up to date and we would suggest that you discuss your dog’s requirements prior to booking.
A major feature of this Holiday Park is their water park, filled with outdoor fun for all of the family. If you have friends in the area, they can visit and pay fees that vary depending on whether the use the water park or not.

Situated about a 20-minute drive North of the NSW/QLD Border and a 15-minute drive North of the Gold Coast Airport. It is right on the beautiful Tallebudgera Creek and there is even a well-marked dog friendly stretch of beach nearby, where your dog can run off leash.
Tallebudgera Creek is between Burleigh Heads and Palm Beach; both of which have all the amenities you would need and a popular and thriving café, restaurant and pub scene.
Dogs are permitted all year round in the Tourist Park but you need to get your pet approved prior to a booking. There is a link to their current pet policy on their website.
