Ovolo Hotel – Woolloomooloo

Ovolo Hotel - Woolloomooloo

This funky boutique hotel with indoor pool is set in the wharf area of Woolloomooloo and is very close to the Royal Botanic Gardens. The hotel describes their look as ‘heritage meets modern luxury’ and that sure shows looking at the different accommodation offers on their website.

Not only is the hotel dog friendly but on their Offers Page you will find that they have a special ‘V.I.Pooch Holiday Accommodation Package’ for your dog as well as for you a ‘Holiday Accommodation Package’. There are too many inclusions to list here, but they are definitely 5-star if you want to check out the offers link: https://ovolohotels.com/ovolo/woolloomooloo/offers/

Dog friendly accommodation with pool was the brief. I don’t think we were prepared for the style, luxury and lovely indoor pool that this property offers; yet so close to the Harbour, Gardens and CBD.

Bretti Reserve

Bretti Reserve – near Gloucester

In theory Gloucester is in the Manning district, but is classed as being in the Upper Hunter. This reserve is a short drive West from the A1 Highway, using The Buckets Way. If you are travelling from further North West in NSW you can follow Thunderbolts Way, a 290km sealed road that spans between Gloucester and Inverell.

Bretti Reserve is beside the Barnard River; is dog friendly and has swimming, toilets and free camping.

No bookings needed.

Dog friendly camping NSW they said. We probably had you at ‘free’. However, that would undersell the beauty, wildlife and country ruggedness that you would experience at this reserve.
