Turon Gates Mountain Retreat

Turon Gates Mountain Retreat

Sometimes after a long drive you need to treat yourself and Turon Gates Mountain Retreat is a great treat. It is an eco-retreat offering various grades from Campsites, Glamping tents, Riverside Log Cabins through to Mountain Log Cottages.

The retreat is dog friendly, but as there are a lot of native wildlife around you will need to keep your dog under control (their recommendation is a lead), as well as clean up their droppings.

Dogs are permitted in the Mountain Cabins, Cottages and the Birdsong Glamping Tent. Dogs are excluded from the adults only Glamping Tents. Mention your dog when making your booking.

Pet friendly accommodation NSW was what we were after but that didn’t prepare us for the peace, serenity and range of accommodation on offer at this gorgeous retreat in the Blue Mountains region.

Bretti Reserve

Bretti Reserve – near Gloucester

In theory Gloucester is in the Manning district, but is classed as being in the Upper Hunter. This reserve is a short drive West from the A1 Highway, using The Buckets Way. If you are travelling from further North West in NSW you can follow Thunderbolts Way, a 290km sealed road that spans between Gloucester and Inverell.

Bretti Reserve is beside the Barnard River; is dog friendly and has swimming, toilets and free camping.

No bookings needed.

Dog friendly camping NSW they said. We probably had you at ‘free’. However, that would undersell the beauty, wildlife and country ruggedness that you would experience at this reserve.
