They have 2 swimming pools, plus there are BBQ facilities, alfresco dining area, free WIFI and undercover parking. Our brief said “dog friendly accommodation with pool”; this property sure met that brief and then to have 2 pools is even better.
Situated close to the waterfront in Urangan this property is close to the Marina and Boat Ramp.
There are 61 Villas within the retreat and a selected number of villas are dog friendly. At the time of writing the pet friendly villas attract a $50 fee for 1-2 nights and $100 for 3-nights or more.

If you are wanting a quieter alternative to the Sunshine Coast, then head about 1 hour 15 minutes North on the Bruce Highway towards Gympie, where you exit and head East out to Rainbow Beach.
This holiday park is dog friendly but dogs are excluded in peak times such as Easter, Christmas and New Year as well as public holiday long weekends.

Wagait Beach and Mandorah are only 15-minutes by ferry from Cullen Bay, Darwin. To drive there its around 90-minutes following Highway 1 and Highway B34.
The main house can accommodate up to 10 people; a Master Bedroom is upstairs along with kitchen, living and a 2nd shower and toilet. There are 2 further bedrooms downstairs that share an ensuite. There is also a 2nd living room, kitchenette and laundry downstairs. The property has a plunge pool.

In addition to a Bar there is a Kitchen that has takeaway food. In the busy season they open their Bistro in the evenings. It is a short 100M walk to the local thermal pools. Like anywhere in the NT, make sure you read and follow the signposted information and warnings; in particular relating to currents, rocks, and crocodiles.

This retreat is halfway between Darwin and the Kakadu National Park.
Although an eco-tourism property they will consider pet friendly bookings for their camping sites and that means getting your dog application approved prior to making your booking.
The property includes an onsite restaurant, 2 swimming pools, a Camp Kitchen, fish cleaning station, and laundry plus all of the back-to-nature experiences.
This resort has a promotion called the Pampered Pet Package that is subject to availability and to being booked directly with the hotel (see below) and not using the online booking service.
The package advertised at the time of writing this consisted of; accommodation in a pet friendly room, bedding and food bowl for your dog to use during the stay, and a gift for your pet.
Conditions also include your dog being on a leash while on the property and that it must not be left unattended at any time.
