We had to compromise and we thing this lovely 5-bedroom, 5-bathroom cedar homestead on 120-acres with an outdoor hot tub is a great compromise.

It is only 10-minutes to Jindabyne and 5-minutes to the Ski-tube that takes you to Perisher and Mt Blue Cow.

There is a wide choice of Cabins, Studios, Chalets and Cottage as well as private pet enclosures for your dog when you go out, as they cannot be left inside the accommodation. You need prior approval for pets inside. This privately owned 3-bedroom, 2-bathroom property is a townhouse in a complex that includes a tennis court, pool and fenced yard. The property has a full kitchen and laundry and a lock up garage as well as a car port, and with NBN.

It backs on to a golf course and there are walking trails nearby.

It is pet friendly on request; you need to discuss this prior to booking.

Elm Cottage

Although this property is called Elm Cottage, you actually have the choice of 5 cottages, each one uniquely themed. Dogs are permitted inside at any of the cottages. What’s more but there is no surcharge and they even provide dog bowls, treats and bags for you to pick up and dispose of your dog’s droppings. There is a $100 cleaning fee per stay.

Not all of the cottages can access WIFI; if that is important check before you make your booking.

There are plenty of other natural sights and activities to keep you occupied especially as you are visiting the Kosciuszko National Park, or perhaps gone into town. There are plenty of places to visit in Tumut or the region; after all, when was the last time you could say you visited a broom factory?
