Ulverstone is a town on Tasmania’s north coast, fronting Bass Strait and the mouth of the River Leven.
The parks powered and unpowered sites are dog friendly. They have also now listed a selection of cabins that are dog friendly but these must be booked directly with the park using the 03-landline number, and are subject to availability and the managers discretion.
Devonport is a city on the north coast of Tasmania and is the home of the ferry service between Tasmania and Melbourne. There are plenty of walking and bike tracks around the city, as well as water activities such as beaches for swimming, fishing, kayaking and rowing.

Swansea is a seaside town on the shores of Great Oyster Bay. It also overlooks the famous Freycinet National Park. There are many beautiful beaches, vineyards and food producers in the area

Cambridge is a suburb of Hobart situated on the eastern side of the River Derwent midway between the CBD and Airport. It is a short drive into the CBD and conveniently located for heading in all directions.
This holiday park has BBQ’s, Camp Kitchen, playground, WIFI and a laundry. Their powered sites and ensuite sites are dog friendly.
This seaside town is just under 100KM south of Hobart, and takes a drive of around 1.5 hours to get there. There some great ways of enjoying nature in this region including the Tahune Airwalk, Hastings Cave and Thermal Springs. There is also the Ida Bay railway for something a bit different.

Snug is a small seaside town around a 20-minute drive south of Hobart. It is also a town that has seen hard times, with massive bushfires in 1967 that destroyed around two thirds of the homes.
The park offers free WIFI, coin-operated laundry, usual toilet amenities, Camp Kitchen and BBQ facilities. As well as camping sites they have powered sites for caravans and some sites are large enough to house RV’s and 5th wheelers.

On the west coast of Tasmania is Strahan, a small town that was formerly a post for the area. Like many places in Tasmania it has a convict past. It is also a gateway to the UNESCO Heritage listed Franklin-Gordon Wild Rivers National Park. The drive here from Hobart is around 300KM, taking 4.5 hours. If driving from Devonport the drive is around 226KM and takes 3 hours.

This area is home to the giant freshwater crayfish. It is also an area that has been impacted by logging. It is just under 100KM from the Devonport ferry terminal.
The park offers a Camp Kitchen, laundry, playground, TV lounge, BBQ as well as direct access to the beach and creek. Their camp sites are dog friendly and a bond of $50 or more is payable on arrival. There is a charge of $4 per day for pets during school holidays and holiday weekends. Dogs must be on a leash at all times.
Mole Creek is a drive of around an hour from the Devonport Ferry Terminal. The town is situated in the Mersey Valley, with its honey production being around 35 per cent of Tasmania’s production. Quarrying and processing limestone are another major part of the local economy. Tourism is also a major income producer and its proximity to National parks is important to the town. Cradle Mountain is close enough to visit on a day trip.
The Caravan park is about 4KM outside Mole Creek township. It offers free dog friendly powered and unpowered camp sites, WIFI, kitchen, laundry, showers and potable water. Dogs must be on a leash at all times.
Located on the north east coast of Tasmania, Scamander is a small seaside town between St Helens and St Marys. It is popular for surfing, swimming and fishing.
This tourist park offers a Camp Kitchen, BBQ area, laundry, amenities block and playground. The showers are coin operated at $1 per 6-minutes.
