Forreston is a locality in the Adelaide Hills, around 3KM NE of a town called Gumeracha; home of the novelty Big Rocking Horse.

The property consists of a restored 1800’s cottage as well as a 1970’s main house, sleeping 9 all up and set on 46-acres of land. They are rented out as an entire property giving you that luxury of space and no other guests. Moana is one of the southern beaches around 45KM back to Adelaide CBD. It is a perfect spot to unwind or to use as a base for day trips to Adelaide, Adelaide Hills, local vineyards and the Fleurieu Peninsula.

This house is luxurious, hi-tech, 4-bedrooms, 7-bathrooms, accommodates 8 people, 3 kitchens if sharing. That is only the beginning; if we listed all the features, they would easily fill a whole page in this guide. It is advertised as pet friendly and we would suggest calling them to discuss your dog, approval process, bond amounts etc. before you make a booking.

Pike River Luxury Villas – Lyrup

The Pike River Villas are situated on a 15-acre property overlooking the river below.

They do advertise the Woolshed as their dog friendly accommodation option and approval will be needed before making your booking.

The Woolshed holiday rental is managed through Viewretreats and all the contact details are for that business. They will take your bookings, give you property address and directions, etc.

Cape Jaffa is famous for the wineries in the region, boating and fishing. It is a comfortable drive north of Robe.

This house is luxury plus; 6-bedrooms that sleep 12, 2-bathrooms, your own berth and marina frontage for your boat. It is a dog friendly property.

The property is managed through Robe Lifestyle Properties and you should discuss your dog requirements, bookings, any pet policies, and collection of keys etc. with them.

Wozza’s BNB

Wozza’s BNB – Melrose (Flinders Ranges)

Melrose is the oldest town in the Flinders Ranges and is situated 265KM N of Adelaide. It has a strong indigenous history. There are also many heritage-listed buildings in the town. It is often used as a base for people climbing the nearby Mount Remarkable National Park.

Wozza’s has themed rooms; Westpac Room, Bank SA, Commonwealth, NAB and ANZ which adds a quirky twist. They do advertise as dog friendly; with a small additional charge. It would pay to contact them to get their approval before booking.

The Standpipe Golf Motor Inn

The Standpipe Golf Motor Inn – Port Augusta West (Eyre Peninsula)

This motor inn is in a great position, right next door to an 18-hole golf course. They also have a great inhouse restaurant and a swimming pool. They have selected rooms as Standard Queen size dog friendly rooms. We would recommend calling them first and getting approval for your dog before making the booking.

Yondah Beach House

Yondah Beach House – Foul Bay (Yorke Peninsula)

We also had difficulty trying to find a pet friendly hotel on the Yorke Peninsula. However, as an alternative we have selected this amazing property at Foul Bay.

Yondah is a deluxe private property of 150-acres. The property is architect designed, is a multi-award-winning destination and is dog friendly. This is a very special price with 2KM of coastline and even has its own beach.

Barossa Country Cottages

Barossa Country Cottages – Lyndoch (Barossa Valley)

We struggled to find any actual pet friendly hotels in the Barossa and Clare Valley regions; we are featuring a B&B cottage property as an alternative.

There are 2 x 2-bedroom cottages that are pet friendly; you will need to make contact and have your dog approved prior to making a booking. They are situated in a lovely garden setting.

Passing Winds – Emu Bay (Kangaroo Island)

Emu Bay is on the north coast of Kangaroo Island, around 13KM west of Kingscote. It is a great spot to base yourself while you explore the island famous for its flora and fauna, beaches, fishing, honey production, lavender farm, eucalyptus oil distillery, walking and boating.

Passing Winds is a luxury modern home with direct access down an access path to the beach below. It will accommodate a maximum of 12 guests. They are dog friendly, subject to prior arrangement, approval and availability. There is a non-refundable fee of $50 for cleaning between guest bookings.

Goolwa is a historic river port a short 19KM drive east of Victor Harbor. The mouth of the Murray River is close by as is the bridge across to Hindmarsh Island. Indigenous culture features strongly in the area. It is now a growing tourist and holiday destination.

This park has a selection of unpowered and powered sits along with 1 or 2-bedroom cabins as pet friendly accommodation options.
