Emu Park is out on the coast from Rockhampton and just South of Yeppoon, which is the largest tourist spot in this area known as the Capricorn Coast.

For camping there is a choice of unpowered or powered sites. Camping is an all year type of holiday in this part of QLD as even their daytime average is 21.8 deg C in June and night time minimums of around 13.5degC (at that’s similar to the day time average in southern states).
There is even a designated dog friendly off leash section of the beach; just remember wherever you are to pick up and dispose of your dog’s droppings.
