Hawker is a Flinders Ranges town situated around 365KM N of Adelaide. It was a thriving railway town from the 1880’s through until the mid-1950’s, when the rail route was shifted further west. Their current day economy is based on sheep, a growing number of cattle and in tourism.
The location of Willow Springs Station is around 21KM NE of Wilpena Pound (just 3km off the Flinders Ranges Way), and around 71KM NE from the town of Hawker.
Their camp sites and also the Jillaroo cabin are their dog friendly accommodation options. There is a limited number of bush camping sites; around 2KM from the homestead. We suggest you mention your dog prior to booking. The sites come with fire ring and BBQ plate, picnic table and a long drop toilet; all pretty basic but after all that is part of the experience of being in an outback station environment.
